Your donation (formerly "dues") is tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. In addition, your round-trip mileage to our rehearsals and concerts are also tax-deductible as a donation to a non-profit charity.
The amount is 14 cents per mile, and this would be entered on your federal income tax schedule A (Itemized Deductions) under "Gifts to Charity"–"other than by cash or check". In last years taxes (2014) that would have been line 17. You need to keep track of the mileage, write it down as you make your trips.If you write a check to us it must now be addressed to Social Good Fund. *You can write *South Bay Philharmonic *on the memo line, or we will stamp it for you.
